Wilmette, IL (December 18, 2025)

The Race Track Business Conference has awarded the Alaska Raceway Park the “Outstanding Facility of the Year” award.  The plaque was presented by SPEED SPORT at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.

“We are incredibly honored to receive the 2025 Race Track Business of the Year award. Alaska Raceway Park is more than a facility — it’s a community built by racers, families, sponsors, staff, and fans who show up every weekend and make this place what it is. This recognition belongs to all of them. We’re proud to represent Alaska on the national stage and grateful for everyone who fuels the passion that drives our success.”, said Michelle Lackey – Lady Track Boss – Alaska Raceway Park.

“Alaska Raceway Park exemplifies everything that is positive and leading the charge on successful operations and promotion.” Said Joe Tripp, SPEED SPORT CEO. “Owner Michelle Lackey is relentless at innovating, learning and leading by example. During the off-season, there’s not a conference or trade show she’s not at — always learning and sharing. And during the race season, she never leaves the track. We are honored to share this well-deserved award with her.”

“Alaska Raceway Park sets the gold standard for racing venues. With mountains towering over the oval track and dragstrip, racers and spectators enjoy the action at the northernmost race track in the US. Alaska Speed Week highlights a comprehensive schedule curated thru the years by the dedication and hard work of the Lackey Family” said Tim Frost the organizer of the event.
