Daytona International Speedway Named “Outstanding Facility of the Year”

At Race Track Business Conference

 

Wilmette, IL (January 11, 2016)

The Race Track Business Conference has awarded the Daytona International Speedway the “Outstanding Facility of the Year” award. The plaque was presented by National Speedway Directory and Track Guide at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show.

“Winning the Outstanding Facility of the Year award is a proud moment IMG_0465for Daytona International Speedway. The entire DAYTONA Rising project team has worked hard to make this dream become reality. We look forward to providing motorsports fans with an unique and enjoyable experience well into the future,” said Joie Chitwood, President of Daytona International Speedway.

“The development of DAYTONA Rising will redefine motorsports venues. The iconic facility continues to lead our industry at the highest level by providing the highest level of guest experience for the fans. Managing this massive project while continuing the host races was a logistical challenge and International Speedway Corporation and Daytona International Speedway led the way to the checkered flag.” said Tim Frost the organizer of the event.

The previous award winners were the Indianapolis Motor Speedway – 2013 and NCM Motorsports Park – 2014.
